EVENT SNAP SHOT:

As you would expect, our Ultra-Endurance Events are physically and mentally demanding as well as emotionally and psychologically challenging. Individual minimum performance standards and assessments MUST be completed within the allocated times. Participants MUST demonstrate the ability to work effectively in order to achieve collective outcomes. Participants MUST display the ability to problem solve, follow instructions (whilst thinking for themselves) and lead others whilst external pressures and stress are applied. EVENT AGE REQUIREMENTS: 18yrs minimum

EVENT COMPLETION STANDARDS:

LEVEL 1: VALIDATED OR SANCTIONED

LEVEL 2: PARTICIPATION

LEVEL 3: DNF

LEVEL 1: VALIDATED #MAYHEM - SANCTIONED #DEVASTATION

To achieve a Level 1 VALIDATED - SANCTIONED PASS - Participants MUST

  • Successfully complete ALL timed, weighted and/or counted physical activities as prescribed

  • Complete the event in full 

  • Follow instructions and strive to complete all tasks in accordance with instructions

LEVEL 2: PARTICIPATION #MAYHEM #DEVASTATION

To achieve a Level 2 PARTICIPATION acknowledgement in either event - Participants MUST

  • Strive to complete ALL physical requirements in accordance with Level 1 standards 

  • Complete the event in full

  • Follow instructions and strive to complete all tasks in accordance with instructions

LEVEL 3: DNF

If you do not finish this event you will not be alone...

We encourage you to take some time to reflect, learn and come back ready to take it to another level at the next opportunity.

EVENT PRESENTATIONS | FOOD & DRINKS | FEEDBACK & INTERACTION:

PRESENTATIONS:

  • ALL LEVEL 1's who complete MAYHEM will receive a limited edition 'VALIDATED' t-shirt in recognition of their achievement

  • ALL LEVEL 1's who complete DEVASTATION will receive a limited edition 'SANCTIONED' t-shirt, hoodie and cap in recognition of their achievement

  • LEVEL 2's in either event Do NOT receive a t-shirt or any other items

FOOD & DRINKS:

  • ALL participants who complete their respective events are welcome to stay and enjoy the refreshments provided at the end

​

FEEDBACK & INTERACTION:

  • ALL participants who complete their respective events will receive detailed feedback about their performance over the course of the event - conducted in a relaxed and friendly environment

  • ALL participants who complete their respective events are welcome to stay and enjoy interacting/socialising with everyone

  • ALL participants are invited to provide Zero Alpha Limited with feedback so that we can improve our events and service offering

EVENT MINIMUM PHYSICAL FITNESS STANDARDS:

Although the timed physical activities themselves which are conducted during our events are very similar to the special forces selection process, we're mindful that we are NOT running the actual SF selection course. Therefore we have used our experience and judgement to modify the relevant activities in relation to either time, distance, weight to be carried and/or repetitions to be completed. That being said - if you think these events are going to be a walk in the park, you're in for a surprise.

 

IMPORTANT: Regardless of whether an event participant is Male or Female - ALL times, distances, weight to be carried and repetitions to be completed are the same for both. Below are purely the "minimum" requirements necessary to attain an L1 pass. Anything less is a L2, non-negotiable.

LEVEL 1 REQUIREMENTS:

BODY WEIGHT:

  • 2.4km run (10min 45sec)

  • Chest to Floor Push-ups: 21 repetitions minimum, performed continuously

  • Sit-ups: 55 repetitions minimum, performed continuously

  • Pull ups (O/H grip): 06 repetitions minimum, performed continuously. No swinging of the body or kipping. Lower your body under control until arms are fully extended then pull yourself up ensuring your head and chin are above the bar

  • Body weight squats: 60 repetitions minimum, performed continuously

WITH EQUIPMENT:

  • 3.2km Run in long trousers, t-shirt and 'hiking' boots with 5kg added weight (19mins to complete)

  • 7km Pack run in long trousers, long sleeve top, 'hiking' boots with 20kg added weight (2hrs 15mins to complete) 

​

SWIM TEST:

  • 200m in long trousers and long sleeve shirt, any stroke (8min 30sec)

  • Tread-water (1min 30sec)

 

EVENT PRE-REQUISITES:

  • Complete the 3 STEP REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • Turn up fit and ready to go from the moment you arrive. See above and FAQs for basic details

  • Must be able to swim

  • Sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) on the day of arrival prior to course commencement

  • No signature = No participation - you’ll be asked to leave immediately
